Would anyone know where I could find the address. Glenmakvian  Craigavad  Co Down.

Sorry this is all the information I have. There is no name.

The address is possibly around the 1930s

Thank you

Hi
There are a couple of mentions of a Glenmakeiran, Craigavad in the Irish newspapers, i wonder if that could be your Glenmakavian?
Names associated from at least 1934 are Mr and Mrs John Higginson, daughters Mary Joan, Margery and Constance, also two sons.

To see where Glenmakieran was, use the PRONI Historical Maps Viewer.
https://apps.spatialni.gov.uk/PRONIApplication/

Select OSNI Historical Fifth Edition (1919-1963) in the Layer List (top right).
Type Craigavad in the Search Box (top left), and select Townlands Craigavad (Holywood).
Click (+) once, and pan South West to see the house.
It is directly south of Culloden House.

There is a planning application in the Newtownards Chronicle today for Ballymakieran House, 139-141 Bangor Road, Holywood. It's on the opposite side of the road from the Culloden Hotel.

N.I. Planning applications- https://epicpublic.planningni.gov.uk/publicaccess/
Type '139-141 Bangor Road' into search box (now shows 2 files from 2019 so not sure how long it takes before newer applications are added).
Click onto one of the files, click on 'documents,' then click on 'view associated documents.' From there you can select 'plans, drawings and maps' to see site plans, floor plans, etc.

It's listed under 'Re-advertisements' in the paper with the same wording as original application apart from 'Amended plans received'. The advertising dates have been updated on the planning website.  Looks like they went so far in 2019 and then didn't proceed.
