hi does anyone have access to uk royal hospital chelsea pensioners chelsea pensioners soldier service records 1760-1920 i thought Enoch powell had died but this might be him he was born 1874 weethley warwick theres a enoch parker in there born abt 1874 from worcestershire regiment no 4184 also cant fond servioce record of him on ancestry any help appreciated hes son Enoch Parker and Alice Leeson

Yes that's him. Served in the Boer War, and bought himself out of the army in 1903 on payment of £18.

interesting info he was living with his grandparents in 1881 age 6 as his dad died in 1874 year he was born i presumed he died in 1880s as couldnt find him in 1891 interesting abt signature match i wonder if this is him in 1893 marriage although in south africa he says hes batchelor

The death record gives a birth date of 10 June 1874. Does that match?

Here's a comparison of the signatures we have. I'm not so certain about the 1907 marriage now.

In order they are:

1893 marriage
1894 attestation declaration (may not be his writing)
1894 attestation signature
1907 marriage

he was baptised 12 july 1874 so good chabce its him might have to order birth cert to be sure
