Hayton Street, Windsor, Liverpool
« on: Thursday 08 April 21 16:16 BST (UK) »
Good afternoon, does anyone know where Hayton Street was in the Windsor area of Liverpool? I know it existed in the 1840s but can't find a map from that time which labels it. Having looked at enumeration schedules from the 1841 census, it appears to have been close to Embledon Street and Lorton Street, in the area of what is now Beaumont Street.

Thank you
Thorpe, Feak & Townsend (Norfolk) / Ormandy & Slater (Dalton-in-Furness) / Corner (Liverpool) / Wray (Lincolnshire) / Fidler, Bridge & Turner (Derbyshire)

From newspaper references it seems to have been between Upper Parliament Street and Upper Stanhope Street.

It must be the unnamed street on this map - one up from Upper Stanhope Street

In 1851, Hayton Street and Courts are following on from Victoria Street and then Buttermere Street

I can see Buttermere Street here  off Lorton Street

Thank you for your help. Despite thinking I'd seen every map of Liverpool, after posting this topic I found 'Hilliar’s Guide for Strangers and Visitors Through Liverpool' from 1858:

https://historic-liverpool.co.uk/old-maps-of-liverpool/hilliars-guide-to-liverpool-1858/#5/80.481/-40.232

It labels Hayton Street - it is the one between Upper Parliament and Upper Stanhope.
