Good morning; I failed to detail that...

My ancestor(s) are James Hogg, son of William Hogg and Jean Lawson; James would be the half brother of William Hogg III, son of William Hogg and Margaret Fordice. Thank you.

So William Hogg was married twice, 1st to Margaret Fordyce and then Jean Lawson?

I believe so, yes. See attached (I tried to attach more, but size limits!) I've tried to make sense of this for years and have researched various lines and just can't find anyone beyond this line and can't find Jean Lawson or family. Thank you.

I think the word highlighted in yellow might be Teind not Tewk?
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
