Indecipherable signature
« on: Friday 09 April 21 20:04 BST (UK) »
I have my father's Soldier's Release Book from 1945. At the time he was serving in 160 C.R.E. Works Group in the Royal Engineers in BAOR in Germany. His Lieutenant Colonel has signed his Release Leave Certificate but I can't make out his signature.

It looks something like R. H. Languishe or Lanquiste.

Can anyone offer any help?

Fantastic! I’ve found a newspaper report of a bridge building demonstration he ran in 1941. Problem solved.
