Which archives were you looking in for Coudreceau?

You need to look in the Eure-et-Loir Archives, here:

Yeah that's where I've looked. It goes up to 1691.

Wow thats alot, thanks to you both. Looking at it I'm maybe thinking Dancé? Where it says Conde ay ----

At the point mentioned above I see " ...Mr Jacques Beau(xxx) curé dud[it] Condé ay donné la bénédiction nuptiale aux parties ci-dessus (M. J. B, priest of the said Condé gave the marriage blessing to the parties above ...)

Doesn't help with which Condé this is I'm afraid.

Thanks, that clears some things up. Just before that I think it says Condeau. Which is a available for a record search so I'm gonna try there.

Hey, I managed to find Louise Piereau's death in Conde sur Huisne. I just wanted to clarify a few things.

Is the 'V' after her name shorthand for a widow, saying she was a widow to Jacques Davou when she died?

I think her age was either 61 or 66?

And finally, I can't really make anything else out after corps a inhume (body buried). Anyone have any ideas?

This is what I see - with several gaps and uncertainties:

son corps a été inhumé dans la cimetière de Condé par nous ...... Beaunaire curé soussigné en présence de Mr François Bonhomme .......  et de Pierre Mal??? sacristain

The three names correspond to the three signatures.

Buried the 22nd August 1721, yes veuve (widow), age = looks like "soixante et dix ans" 70

Don't remember if these dates etc. fit with your previous document.

Oh yes, this is all looks correct. 70 looks good. The first document shared on this thread was Louise's and Jacques daughters marraige in 1705. I think to a much older man, who would also die in 1721 at the age of 60.

Thanks for taking a look, big help.
