yes id found Annie with Elizabeth in 1901 i have all the census returns for Elizabeth Leppington bar the 1861 .i must have missed Thomas Brown being a few doors down i did look at all images .i did find a Leonard Brown age 26 a shepherd with wife Anne 19 and a son J.Robert brown age 1 living in the High street also have spotted a thomas Brown grocer in the 1890 Bulmers directory for Brompton which i gather is a quarter of a mile away. A grocer could be independant ??

thats what i thought it said but wanted another opinion so thankyou
so a farmer of 16 acres classes himself as a Gentleman .
i have him in the 1881 census in snainton high street number 123(thanks to Mabel) as a farmer 3 doors from my find of T Erbert Brown .who im hoping is Tom Herbert Metcalf of 1878 .
