Pegge marriage 1924
« on: Sunday 11 April 21 13:43 BST (UK) »
The marriage of Arthur Vernon Pegge and his cousin Dorothy Muriel Pegge was registered in Eastbourne in the 1st quarter of 1925, but I'm fairly sure it took place in late 1924 and would probably have been announced in a newspaper.

Would some kind soul with access to the Times Digital Archive or the British Library collection of newspapers (or some other source unknown to me) please be prepared to look for me?

Western Mail 16 January 1925 has write up about the wedding but fails to mention the date of it

That was a swift reply, Rosie: thank you.

It looks as though the wedding could have been in January 1925, after all -- or news took a long time to filter back to Wales!

With Christmas / New Year anything is possible.

I can't see anything in The Times but I always have problems with their search.

Just to add that in the newspaper entry of 16 January -

A reception was subsequently held at The Dickens Hall.  The honeymoon is being spent in Devonshire.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
