anyone with Hudsons that go this far back
« on: Sunday 11 April 21 16:19 BST (UK) »
im lucky enough to have a catholic Hudson family...thanks to clinging to their religion ive been able to get hold of church records which were made and kept secretly at the time they should not have been made in latin and should have been kept in London.

it looks as though they made their way down from Lancashire, along the staffs Derbys border, before moving east into Derbys and splitting between notts Derbys and leics...leaving  families along the. way.

an educated guess would be that they moved. south around the time of. the battle. of Preston.

if. anyone has any Hudsons around Manchester or Preston at that time, maybe you could help or I could give you information about their later movements...they seem to have been a big family.

there seems to have been another large Hudson family that probably came down from lancs into Derbys around the same time, but they took the. Manchester to buxton route.

I wouldn't be. surprised if they were related...any information welcome.

thanks
