Strange isn’t it ,we have kept going when there was no end in sight but now things are a bit more positive I feel a bit motiveless!
However ,I have got through one box room, all sewing stuff in there and my little grocery shop.
I have decided FH’s little folding bed,the gadget that converts a dining chair to a high chair and his numerous bath toys can go to charity.
So some more room.
The second room is all Christmas decorations ,suitcases, Family History stuff  and those boxes and boxes of cards!
Now there is still some room in the first box room I can move things over  and  the upstairs vac can go inside out of sight .
Plus upstairs step ladders.
So a good start.

Well some lovely sunny but chilly days.
Ought to be in the garden but inside calls too.
Daughter sent a picture of a lovely little Patterdale cross ,but it is so hard to get through to the rescue society .
I think things must be better though before I commit to a dog.

Not seen the news lately ,wonder if Harry will be in evidence anywhere.
I suppose not.

Got an eye appointment on May 29 th
Ought to have been early this month ,hopefully I can get an eye test and then  new  specs after  .

Our local councillor( he is hopeful )came yesterday ,canvassing.
I mentioned litter to him and he said how it is worse yet it ought to have been less as we have stayed in.
He was a pupil changing from one school to the second.
Small world.

Hope you and yours are well ,thanks for the news ,nothing much to report here .
Look after yourselves,
Viktoria.

How are the COVID case numbers in the UK? If there are still community transmissions, I would be very nervous to back to “normal” life too. There must be many who share your concerns Roobarb and RTL.

We currently have no cases, but on the odd occasion that there is one, it does put me on edge slightly, so I’m sure I would be very uneasy in your situation.

In the UK, especially in highly populated surely there must be a high chance of case numbers increasing once people get back to “normal”?

There's an 'easy read ' summary here Ruskie:

https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/easy_read

In my area there are very few cases and a drop in the neighbouring areas too. However, in the nearest large town there are concerns about people not having the vaccination despite community leaders efforts to persuade them. Like all seaside towns we have an influx of day trippers when the weather is good, we can only hope
that people use some commonsense, unlike those who were brawling at pubs in some areas on Monday.

Lickess- North Yorkshire, Middlesbrough.
Etherington - North Yorks and Durham.

Forster- North Yorks/Durham
Newsam, Pattison, Proud - North Yorks.
Timothy, Griffiths, Jones - South Wales

Not just day trippers Roobarb.
Self catering holidays were allowed since Monday, so it's mayhem here.

That’s a useful link, thanks Roobarb.  :) The numbers look quite high.  :-\

Unfortunately I’m not sure that common sense is very common any more.
