Address please for this baptism record
« on: Wednesday 14 April 21 09:23 BST (UK) »
I cannot decipher the address for the Luks family (bottom line on attached snippet).  It looks like Mora Villa but the road name is difficult.  What looks like RO is RD for road, based on other entries on the pages.

This is a record for 1880, St John, Deptford, Lewisham.

I wonder if anyone is familiar with the road names in this area, or is able to read this address please?

Thanks.

London Standard newspaper (26 April 1894) has a reference to the forthcoming sale of Mora Villa, 35 Breakspears Road, Brockley.

Not in that particular entry Ė itís just an agentís Order of Sale, listing various properties in south London.

Thereís an earlier notice advertising the property to let as a 10-room residence, near St Johnís Station, at £67/year, 95-year lease, £10 ground rent (London Evening Standard, 20 Sep 1880).

Also several notices re the birth on 11 August 1881 of a son to Mrs William Henry Baldwin Luks of Mora Villa, Brockley.

Thanks bookbox.  That son was Ernst (or Ernest) Henry William Sydney Luks.
