Think I have found Frank Milborow (and variations) in earlier years -  a bricklayer just like Mr Brooker. He lost a few years when he got with Philidelphia - and gained them again when he died. Birth seems to be anywhere between 1837 and 1852!

He had a wife in 1871, which may be another reason they didn;t marry for some time

wow i wasnt expecting so much help, thanks everyone! Yes she married Frank Milborrow she was known as Nurse Brooker being a monthly nurse at one point & I do  have a memorial card in this name too although I have no idea why she took that name. I was unaware the Thomas had gone abroad but I have ordered the death certificate for 1930, Ill try and find some information on his possible 2nd wife and maybe a marriage certificate??

Im going to work through all of your replies and see how they tie up with what I already have

Once again thanks for all your replies  :)

Thomas's second wife also came from Lincolnshire. I'd be surprised if they met on the Canada plains and I think it's likely they met before leaving the UK.

I can't search ATM but I'd suggest looking at emigration schedules, passenger lists and Canadian  immigration lists.
