Have an address - can't find any trace 1924

Hi everybody,

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me find a certain record. From my Great Grandfathers Military records (1924) it shows his mother lived at 14 Wall St, Hendon, Sunderland. I was doing lots of digging around but couldn't find any Wall St anywhere.

I then posted on a Sunderland history group and was told that Wall St was a short cottaged street and the whole area was eventually demolished in the 60s.

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me work out who would have lived at that address in 1924? I've tried searching electoral rolls but I haven't managed to find anything. Every lead I look into with this ancestor always draws a blank.

If she was still alive in 1939 you could check if she still lived there on the 1939 records.

14, Wall St was occupied by the Blackburn family in 1939.
