Eileen Sutton 1905
« on: Thursday 15 April 21 16:55 BST (UK) »
In 1911 William Sutton [35] lived with his wife Mary Alice  [35] and their daughter Eileen [6].

The census records that they had been married 15 years and had 3 children, of which 2 had died.

I found William Sutton married Mary Alice Everill -  Prestwich 1895 8d 625
I also found Elizabeth Ellen Mosely 1897 - 1897 (Prestwich).  Sarah Alice 1901 - 1903 (Prestwich)
which may or may not be correct ???

I can't find Eileen. Can anyone help?

it's possible she was adopted;  the 1911 record does state three children. AND ...  the name on the original does look like Lutton.
I found 1901 William & Mary A Lutton [both 1875] no children living Prestwich.

Pursuing the adoption theory - but this could be a wild goose chase.

Looking at births for an Eileen in Prestwich RD then checking mmn on GRO shows one illegitimate Eileen in 1905 - surname Hines.  Can’t find anything on her under Hines in 1911 and the only female Hines marriage in Prestwich pre 1911 is Mary A to John Alfred Rothwell

Both birth & marriage were June qtr 1905

The whole family is a mystery. I can't find any information on any of them ... except .... all three,
William, Mary Alice and Eileen were living in Impington 1911. The rest is guesswork !!!
Assuming the 1911 census is correct William and Mary Alice were married 15 years (c1896); they had three children, two who died. and Eileen who came out of thin air.!!! I've not a clue about William and Mary Alice's parents.

Any ideas?
