Russian Polish ancestors married by Certificate. Zyke and Wizodski.
« on: Friday 16 April 21 14:01 BST (UK) »
Hi there - I have the Catholic Church Register entry and the Civil Registration Marriage Certificate for two ancestors who were born in Russian Poland (1911 census info) and married in Leeds in 1904. The marriage states both fathers’ names and occupations, but I’m trying to find the birth location of both parties in order to access Polish records and try and trace the families back. I also have actual birth dates (from the 1939 Register).

I notice that on the civil Marriage Certificate, it states ‘married according to the rights and ceremonies of the Roman Catholics by Certificate...’

Did the two parties have to fill out any further documentation at the registrar’s office that may state their birth locations and if so, can I search them? Or are there any immigration or Alien records that I can access?

Any advice as to how I go about tracing their birth locations would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
