As mentioned by Carole earlier, there is a birth for a Ronald P Treagus (back to the P from before). Born 3rd Qrt 1925 in Portsmouth. Mother's maiden name, Treagus. Ref. vol. 2b/pg. 773. Second birth registration with the surname Rogers.

Both his marriage and death show either L or Leslie. The confusion on his birth date may come from the birth date given on his death reg by informant.

He would have been 18-19 when Sandra was born, if he is the correct father for her.

The only way to progress with any certainty is to purchase her birth certificate to establish her mothers full name.

If her father is indeed Ronald P Treagus born in 1925, illegitimate, I think his mother was an Elizabeth Treagus who married Albert E Udy Mar.1928 Portsmouth.   No further trace of Ronald P Treagus but a Ronald Peter Udy b.13/8/1925, died Jun. 1976 (married a Hopkins in 1949 Portsmouth as Udy). There is no birth for a Ronald P Udy in 1925.

Either Albert was his natural father or he was later adopted by Albert.   Certainly, as an adult he was Udy not Treagus.

Hi all
First let me explain. I created the tree's on ancestry and heritage which shows my mothers name. I changed my name by deed poll for personal reasons and so therefore am not adopted. I appreciate all the replies and will follow up on them. I also found the record log which names my mothers mother maiden name as Joseph but that's all I can find so far and a record for her father. Whats puzzling them is woman that he's married "Doris" isn't Joseph. I have just send for a copy of her birth certificate so will need to wait for it.
Monica you sent a message that showed a certificate but now its dissap peared. Could you resend please. Monica and Annette can you tell me where you found the info you both got. I have the Scotlands people logs regarding her death, not sure about her marriage though will check.
Thanks all.

I haven't sent anything to you direct. All my info is on the posts here.

Great that you have sent off for her birth cert. That should give you most of the details you need to begin to firm things up. Her marriage and death could add more detail regarding her parents. Scottish marriage and death certs include details on parents.

You mention you have seen the death on SP. Her marriage shows there too, on the marriages database.

That could explain that  ;) Certainly not me!

You need to wait a little to order the certs for her from SP. The service has been suspended through covid closures etc. They haven't said yet when they are open again for orders.
