Searching for lost and living Grandfather
« on: Saturday 17 April 21 23:05 BST (UK) »
Looking for my mother's biological father, last seen by our family in late 1978- early 1979 in Warrington I think.

He's called (*) , I have searched every website I can and all I can find is his marriage certificate to my grandmother, her last name was (*). My mum is called (*) and was born in May 1978 in crewe but raised in Warrington. He left when she was six months old and she was told he had died but we were told by a relative (*) has been seen recently in Warrington alive and well and has a family of his own.

We are sorry RootsChat policy has a policy of not publishing details of living people here, or details of people who may still be living.

People can send you a personal message, with pointers and ideas on how to trace your lost father.

All the very best in your search,

You could check Electoral registers  www.192.com is one of several such sites.  Only available from 2002 and if he has opted out of the listing you may not find a recent entry

He may be listed in the telephone directory which is available at www.thephonebook.bt.com but only if he gets line rental etc via BT so again - you may not find anything

Social Media such as Facebook.

If he re-married - you may be able to find the marriage on www.freebmd.org.uk which will give his wife's name.  You can use the same site to look for children born to the marriage. If they are old enough you may find them on Social Media
