Well, no surprise to find that I was the only bidder for this.  So have now paid and will await its delivery in due course.

Any suggestions as to which family history society or other suitable persons to whom I could offer the picture?

It seems from Cuffie's research that the family is quite large!  No doubt tracking any descendants would be a long job.

Mckha489 does appear to have already found a living great grandchild, so that's one option. Whether the family would be interested is another matter though.

I'll start putting a tree together on Anc over the next couple of weeks although it may be sometime before Anc index it (it can take a few months). It's a bit of a long shot but some descendants might find it and I can direct them to this thread (if you still have the item by then).

As for other descendants, I'll follow up on the children of Frederick, as there may be some there with the Tilling name, so may have more interest.

Ok Cuffie, I'll hold on to it until all suitable options have been explored.  If no descendants are interested then I see about offering it to a family history society or whatever.
