Relationship to me ?
« on: Tuesday 20 April 21 13:42 BST (UK) »
I should know this, I have looked at the charts but I always get mixed up.
Please could some kind person who has a better understanding help me  :D

My lovely God mother has just passed away after a long illness.

But she was also a blood relation.

She and my mother were cousins, their mothers were sisters so

What relationship was she to me ?

and what relationship is her son to me ?

I just can’t think straight enough to work it out.

Thanks

Thank you Ruskin for your swift reply.
My head is too jumbled to understand it at the moment. I will look again later.

If your mother and your God mother were first cousins (and shared the same grandparents), then you and your God mother would be first cousins once removed.

You and your God mother's son would be second cousins.

(I think;D

Brilliant thankyou, that's made it clear now.
Brains mush today with the sad news. Even when someone has been ill for a very long time and you are relieved for them their suffering is over it's still sad rememering the person they once were.
Thanks for your help.
