Hi

I am looking for more information on the Harrison family of which Elizabeth harrison born 1802-1832 is my 3rd great grandmother.

I have her father as Thomas Harrison born about 1760 and his wife Elizabeth place born about 1760 but I haven't got much info on the family I think they were born in Northumberland. Any help on anymore family would be great as I cannot find anything .

Who did Elizabeth junior marry, when and where. Do you have other siblings for her as her parents would have been in their early 40’s when she was born

I only have Elizabeth as the child she married George Hindmarch he was born about 1794

Elizabeth HARRISON’S baptism on 15 Aug 1802 shows her mother as ELIZABETH PLACE. Her father Thomas HARRISON with the occupation “mariner”.
There is a note transcribed as  “3rd daughter" " N. Of Ryton”

Thomas HARRISON and Elizabeth PLACE were married 7 June 1787 at St John the Baptist, Newcastle upon Tyne.

From a quick search (not extensive), I can find the following children for Elisabeth and Thomas HARRISON (a Mariner):
•   Margaret - bapt 23 Sep 1787 Tynemouth
•   Martha – Born 28 June 1791, but bapt 8 Dec 1793 Newcastle upon Tyne (baptised same day as brother John)
•   John – born 15 Sept, bapt 8 Dec 1793 Newcastle upon Tyne
•   Thomas – born 5 April, bapt 10 July 1796 Tynemouth
•   Elizabeth – born 2 March, bapt 15 Aug 1802 Tynemouth

I think that is quite possible - that occupation often tended to carry on for a few generations.

I found a Harrison family that were sailors but I don't think I could find a link

Also because I cannot find much on Thomas Harrison or his wife I don't know if he had any brothers or sisters

From this information found by Neale1961 you might deduce that the grandmothers were perhaps called Margaret and Martha and one of the grandfathers was John. Have you looked for Harrisons or Places with these forenames (i.e a Margaret/Martha Harrison or Place burial, or a Margaret or Martha who married a Mr Harrison or Mr Place at roughly the right date ? Especially one who married a John?

In addition I see FreeReg has several Thomas Harrisons baptised in N'land 1750-1767 who
could be yours - then work back to find a possible marriage with the father's name and hopefully his bride's.
