Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for relatives of Sergeant Henry Irvine Runciman who died 21/2/1919 - buried Craigton Cemetery Glasgow. Service No 44310 of the Machine Gun Corps.

Born 1895 - Orkney Island Scotland - Son of the Rev Charles Runciman and Mrs Jeannie Runciman. Born, Holm, Orkney.

The private memorial marking the grave of Sgt Runciman no longer provides adequate commemoration. The commission are in the process of producing a new headstone.

Jeannie Runciman died 13 July 1941 also buried Criagton Cemetery - some children listed as well.

Sister - Jane Thomson Runciman 1877–1965 born 7 October 1877 Holm, Orkney  - died 1965
married Alexander W Watt 1873 - 1954 (could have been a minister of religion)

Possible 8 Watt children.
