The image for the parish marriage entry is available on FindMyPast -

10 July 1854 - Allerthorpe -

William Cook, 25, bachelor, Labourer of Warter.  Father Thomas, Labourer
Mary Ann Thrussell, 22, spinster, Servant of Allethorpe.  Father:  William, Labourer

Both signed the register

thankyou so much i will have a look using thos dates now ive been looking at cottingham  and found a Mary age 3 in 1841 with parents Abraham Throsell and Mary  and a stack of kids (well 7) but that would have meant her being 16 when she married the strange thing with this family is no girls show with parents in 1851 census only boys  in the 1851 the name is Thrussell .i will be happy to have their marriage cart and leave that family at that  ::)

There's a Mary Ann Thrustle b Cottingham c 1833 working as a servant for Thomas Westerdale, a farmer in Swandale, in 1851

Reference is  HO107;  2360; 424; 8;   Ancestry have indexed her as Tarnstle but the image is clearly spelled as above

Marriage;
24 September 1831 Cottingham, Yorkshire
William THRUSTLE to Jane ROBINSON

Baptism same place;
MARY ANNE Thrustle 19 September 1832 to WILLIAM/JANE

Only child I can see to them.

Marriage;
20 October 1834, Hutton Cranswick, Yorkshire
William TRUSTLE to Maria STATHERS

F/S does not state if William is widowed.
Is on FreeREG also as Stather, does not say if widowed either.

I also cant see a Burial for Jane 1832-1834!

1851 in Cottingham we have;
William Trussell   42 born Cottingham
Maria Trussell   42 born Hessle

William was Bapt 7 August 1808 Cottingham to WILLIAM/JANE

The image for the 1834 marriage doesn't show marital status for either party.  Both of this parish, and both made their mark.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
