I can't see a birth Leeds UK for anyone with that name, there is an Amy Angelina Dorrington who was born in Kent in 1891 (parents Thomas & Angelina).  She appears to have married in Kent in 1913 as Amie

Thanks - yes Amy A Dorrington is the daughter of John and Amy.  John Dorrington giving his place of birth as Whittlesey Cambs on 1891 census.
On the 1920 U S Census for Wisconsin Amy states her father was born in Wales and was Welsh.

Something not adding up - would like to know what she gave as her father's name on her marriage certificate (1915 - 1918)to Louis Grimard.

(Have posted earlier messages re John Dorrington but no luck in tracing him - I have all the details of his wife/children etc but he remains elusive.)

The 1920/1930 census suggest that they may have been married in Canada about 1912.

Louis was born in Canada and the oldest daughter Muriel/Mary was born in Canada in 1914/1915. On the 1930 census Amy indicates she has been married 18 years.
