« on: Friday 23 April 21 10:41 BST (UK) »
Just noticed today that Find My Past have introduced a Census Address search.  You can search for any address in any census.

It says Select a Census, Street name, Location.

Has anyone else seen this?

Yes.  Although it is just a relocation of the facility that has been a feature of FindMyPast for some time.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Ah I see.  So if you want to search a census address you use that instead of doing so on the actual census record, e.g. 1911.

In the past if you wanted to search by address you had to access the census via the Quick Links facility and then choose the census you want, then there was a choice of Name or Address.  So now it's going to be a lot quicker - I think/hope.   :-\

It should be quicker.  That's presumably the whole idea of it.  :)

I've just had another look and it is listed under the "Search" heading.

Yes, that is how I noticed it.  No doubt in time the New bit will disappear and it will be part of the Search facility.

I used the old style address search quite a lot. The new one seems to be an improvement  :)
