I am trying to find the parents of these three children (John 1527, William 1534, Robert 1536)
:  John Rowland 1527-1560, William Rowland 1534 (married Margaret who died of the plague in 1608 in Horsham,children: Joanne Rowland 1586, John Rowland 1591), Robert Rowland1536 (married Elizabeth Myles 12 January 1561, children: Elizabeth Rowland1564, Thomas Rowland 1565, Agnes Rowland 1568. Elizabeth died and Robert Rowland then married Alice Seamer 12 April1578 children: Robert Rowland 1562, Philippa Rowland 1564, 1566 Thomas Rowland 1566, 1569 Agnes Rowland 1569) I think they were all baptised in Horsham, Sussex.

Unfortunately FreeREG records haven't been transcribed back to 1527 in Horsham.

Earliest Rowland bapt on there is 1548
Marriage 1547
Burial 1555

I think the next step going back before parish records would be lay subsidy rolls. The Sussex Record Society has published them for 1524-25, along with other records. You might also have luck with wills.
