O'Hanlon
« on: Saturday 24 April 21 13:16 BST (UK) »
Trying to locate two death certificates both in1921, Rose O'Hanlon aged 14 and Patrick O'Hanlon aged 27 years ??
Rose was living in 5 St Marys Rd I think her brother was also, but was told that their mother lost 3 of her children within a month between Feb & March 1921, I know  about the 3rd one as he was killed in Dublin, but  cannot find anything on the other two except a short newspaper article regarding Bernard O'Hanlon where it says the parents had just buried two of their children and now another in March, thanks as always in advance

You have the family in Dundalk though so that death doesn’t look right.

Hi Heywood

Yes I saw that death for Rose O'Hanlon in Omeath but its not the one I was looking for unfortunately, when young Bernard died in March 1921, the newspaper did mention that his mother had buried 2 of her other children within days of each other which would have been Rose &Patrick, I went to Dundalk when I was home and looked at the family's grave plot  but unfortunately age has faded the dates a bit and couldn't really make the time frame out.

But once again many thanks for your reply I do appreciate it.

I presume you say that it was Rose and Patrick because they do not appear in the family in later years?

I was told that the older sister Annie became a nun following the death of her younger sister Rose (confirmed by the convent in Derry) and I found the other children but not Patrick and unfortunately couldn't really make out the dates on the family plot in Dundalk
