Henry Knibbs
« on: Sunday 25 April 21 11:01 BST (UK) »
I have a marriage of Henry Knibbs to Mary Honnour in Bicester, Oxfordshire in September 1735. I would really like to know if they had any children. Reason being I have a Henry Knibbs who married in Quainton - a few miles up the road - and wonder if this Henry / Mary could be my Henrys parents.

No children born to Henry & Mary Knibbs/Nibbs in the baptism index for Bicester town.

There is a baptism/christening for Mary Honour, to father Edward. 6 April 1714 @ Bicester. (No mothers name mentioned).

Bicester marriage - Edward Honour to Joan Rush. 18 Oct 1709.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. It was not the answer I was looking for. As Bicester is close to Quainton, I had hoped to join the families together. Ah well, back to the drawing board. I have another to chase at Hethe, who may be the parents of my Henry. Once again, thank you so much.

Dead end or new beginning? By Anthony Camp.
Question:
Henry Knib/b/s, farm labourer, who married at Quainton in Buckinghamshire in 1753.
Get no further.

N.B.
As is pointed out in the article, the marriage was on 3 Dec 1752

I see Henry of Quainton married in 17532, so likely to have been born in early 1730s, or even earlier than that..

Several Chipping Norton baptisms, earliest 1736 which fits with Bicester marriage, maybe Henry was from Chipping Norton and only resided in Bicester temporarily. There's  a Deddington baptism in 1710, which might fit with date of marriage. But not related (or not closely at least) to the Quainto Henry.

Actually Lizzie I think added the N.B. just before you posted. But sorry about that.
1752 or 3, it won't make too much difference!
Good luck with the hunt
John
