HP Deskjet 2540 Series problem

Hi can anyone help please. I am unable to print /scan on my HP Deskjet 2540 Series printer. Pc recently configurated ?? now having problems I opened up Microsoft Word and tried to print file but got message printer not installed and also not connected to internet. The icon ? is visible on desktop and is listed in files also I can open up to view ink levels etc. Been having problems with my internet connection ? could this have caused problem, any help appreciated ? could driver have been deleted ?/

I have an HP printer and frequently have connection problems.

My usual course of action is to uninstall the printer and then reinstall - usually cures the problem.

Thank You. Will try that. Another problem, searched for ages can not find installation disk.

If your printer is set for a wireless connection you will have problems Victoria.
Have a look round the hp printer support website see if anything jumps out at you?

Thank You I was lucky enough to find a free download. It worked
Just used it and was able to print.
