Thomas Cox (1800-) birth or baptism

This enquiry relates to one I posted a few months previously:

I would like to ask someone to have a look into the origins of an ancestor of mine, Thomas Cox. He was born c.1800, in the county of Devon, though he only appears in the 1841 census living in Exeter, so no specific location is listed (I suspect he died some time in the 1840s, probably the 'Thomas Cox' who died in 1850, just before the census). By trade he was a brewer, and married Mary Jarman in 1825. He had three children: Elizabeth b. 1830, James b. 1834, and Thomas b.1839. Elizabeth and James have clear life stories, Thomas' life is rather obscure. I would like to please ask for someone to try and find a baptism or other record so that I can find who his parents were and where exactly he was born.

FamilySearch has quite a few baptisms of Thomas Cox around the right time in Devon, but I'm afraid without knowing where exactly he was born, it may be difficult to work out which is the correct one.

Where did he marry as that may narrow it down.

St Mary Major in Exeter

There are several Thomas Coxs and I think you are right he died/buried  in 11 August 1850 age 51 at Cook St buried St Mary Major.
Looking at baptisms in the parish there are a John and Elizabeth Cox baptising their son John Cox 4 July 1797  there.Other children for the couple are at Doddiscombleigh John 15 Feb 1801,Elizabeth 24.4.1803 and Thomas 15.2.1801.
There is another Thomas at Broadcylst s of Anne 5.1.1800 and
Thomas s of Joseph and Mary at Whitestone 8.10.1801

So it is just a guess which if any is yours

Hi all,
Could someone gave a look for any other children of Anne at Broadclyst and Joseph and Mary at Whitestone? My gut feeling is the first option purely on account of one of the children being called Elizabeth, but finding the other two couples' children might help.

Anne doesn't seem to have any other children
Joseph and Mary at Whitestone Joseph 16.11.1800, Ann 29.4.1804 death 27.1.1819,Joseph 26.6.1805,and Mary Ann 21.8.1806,Martha 23.6.1815 labourer,
Marriage 10.2.1800 to Mary Lake at Whitestone.

Thanks for the help. I'm still not sure which one to choose, but I'd exclude the ones at Whitestone. John and Elizabeth is supported by the mother's name, but it's slim stuff to go off. Maybe I'll visit the archives in Exeter and try and have a look for any other documentation that might help.
