Thomas HOLDER age 23 sentenced October 1840 to 10 years transportation at the Old Bailey.

I cannot see him in the convict lists. There are two others one in 1842 and one in 1844, but they were from Kent and Lewes assizes.

What happened to him?

It is Thomas William Downes the jeweller he stole from I am researching so I don't need a whole lot on Thomas HOLDER but would be nice to round off the page with an indication of what happened to him.

Incidentally in a newspaper report of the incident both men are referred to as James.

He was transported to Bermuda - 8 July 1841
