The Fantastic Zephyr Land Yacht
« on: Tuesday 27 April 21 22:51 BST (UK) »
In 1936, the imminent marriage of Marion Fernie to "millionaire playboy" Bill Plankinton was announced in the New York Daily News.  Something must have gone wrong, though, because Marion wound up marrying one of my Logans, instead, and thus missed out on the 'Land Yacht.'

Wow!
My daughter and her husband had an Airstream, it was lovely.
They organised for my husband and I to have a holiday in it .
They towed it with a Landrover.Set it up etc .on a lovely five star site in Shropshire .
Our car had gone for a service and a part was on order so the dealership lent us a courtesy car .
That was a little Polo !
The funny thing was when we parked alongside the Airstream ,people who had not seen it towed on to the site by the Landrover were amazed “ That ( the Polo) has never towed that ( the Airstream) surely!”
Well no ,it hadn’t .
The first day there the grounds staff mowed the grass and disturbed the water supply ,all systems shut down!
No water, electricity, etc ,so no lights, cooker, fridge, shower, air conditioning.
I looked at the “ instructions “ phoned a number and someone in Newcastle on Tyne talked me through it all!
Too sophisticated by half for a technology nerd as I am.
Those look fabulous though.
Viktoria.
