How to trace a relation?
« on: Wednesday 28 April 21 16:12 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I'm trying to track a relation of mine down from Dublin, I don't know is he is deceased or not. I know his exact date of birth, his parents names, his sister's name (But she may have married) and I know he married in 1957 but they divorced sometime before the early 70's (well I think they divorced, she's remarried now anyway so maybe he's deceased). On his marriage cert in 1957, the address stated intended to move to Manchester, I tried online UK registration search but can't find him, his name is fairly common also so looking for being able to narrow it down with his date of birth. Is there any private search engine out there that can find by date of birth or will I need to resort to hiring a private investigator? FYI - The ex wife remarried some where in Australia but can't contact her and tried her sister who has an online profile but never got a response there.

Did they have any children? Look for births after 1957, Manchester area, with mother's maiden name.

Someone sent me a good suggestion concerning this, I can't list the info of the man i'm trying to trace or his sister as they may still be alive but i'll give their parents information and maybe someone might know something. So his parents were: Father: Christopher Alfred Doyle, born 13 Montague St, Dublin 2, Dublin city, July 13, 1904. Mother: Christine Nulty, born Girley, Co. Meath, December 26, 1907.
Their marriage: December 09, 1936,  St. Andrew's, Westland Row, Dublin. Christopher listed as Motor Driver on his marriage cert. Christopher died November 24, 1964, Royal City of Dublin Hospital, Baggott Street. Address on death cert was 11 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin City. Burial Mount Jerome Cemetery. Funeral was at the Church of our Lady of Refuge, Rathmines, Dublin. Christina's death was August 08, 1963, Garden Flat, 11 Upper Leeson Steet, Dublin. Her daughter Ita Doyle was present at her death. Burial   Mount Jerome Cemetery, Dublin. Doyle Plot - Number A59-580-32609.

Alan try searching the basic internet using various different bits of info, and use several different search engines like Bing, DuckDuckGo, as many things can be found without using specialist resources.

A new bit of information, the relation I am trying to trace his name is Noel Francis Doyle (b. 1936, Dublin), he would be a first cousin on his mother's side to the below list of siblings with the Surname Nulty: Josephine (b.1938), John (b.1939), Joseph (b.1943), Malachy (b.1947), Frederick (b.1951), Margaret (b.1955), Marion (b.1957) & Peter (b.1958) - siblings birth locations range from Kells, Co. Meath, to Fingal, Co. Dublin, to Drogheda, Co. Louth to Ardee, Co. Louth. Anyone out there know the Nulty family please direct message me. Thanks

And another family who are first cousins to this relation again on his mother's Nulty side:

Surname: Collins - Joseph (1935), Fergus (1936), Vincent T (1942), Michael A (1944), Bridget M (1944) & Frances M (1951) - all born in Navan, Co. Meath except last one born in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

And another family:

Surname: Slevin - Sean F (1939) & Patrick J (1947) - Dublin South
