Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me find out what year uniform he is wearing and probably what year he served in thanks luke

The cardstock looks 1890's but could be 1880's.
If we can see the back it would tell for sure which decade.
He looks like RE.

There is an Ambrose Crowder (b 1854) who appears on 1901 census in Sheffield listed as a photographer but 1891 and 1911 census give a different occupation. He dies in 1929.

1893 and 1905 Directories for Sheffield list him as a photographer at 169 Spital Hill.
