SO - TWO Baptisms 1777 and 1780 in CUNLIFFE STREET
I don't see them having a daughter Susey in between in 1778 at DALE ST ??

SO I think that is not you family in Cunliffe st - I think Susannah Pinington is more likely your Sueys mum


Susannah becomes Susey - is it because mum is Susannah as well ?
Walton is in Liverpool - ie ...Walton Jail

Thank you Garstonite, I thought this too definately not the Cunliffe St lot. Susey/Susannah does fit they just seem a bit old as back then usually had kids straight away and can only find 2 so far. Henry born 1776 and died 1777 of Dale St. I think I'll go with her for now though.

I'm back with more questions:

I've found some other kids of an Edward Tatlock of Dale Street,Liverpool.

Peggy born 1766
John born 1768
Thomas born 1773
Henry born 1776 died 1777 I think
and then my Susannah born 1778

No mother is listed on any.

I'm now being linked to an Elizabeth Fairclough on Ancestry (married Edward 1760) but on the marriage bonds and allegations he is down as a Yeoman whereas on all the baptism records he is Labourer.

Could this be my Edward? Was it usual to downgrade occupation status in those times?

Unsure if means anything but this Edward has signed his name on the paperwork but none of my confirmed Tatlocks could write as they all made their mark (x) on their paperworks.

Many of mine upgraded.  They were farm labourers but on marriage stated they were yeoman or farmers.  I suppose it was to impress their new fathers-in-law!!
