My Scottish Mackenzie family can be found as Mckenzie; M(a)ckinzie; M(a)ckinsie

P.S.  My father wrote his name as M'Kenzie

Sue, this from "Galloway Gossip" Trotter 1901. A mine of information incl' Galloway surnames. Apparently some MacGregors thereaboots!
 MacGrigor/MacGrighor, usual way, MaGrier,  familiarly, Grier, genteel wey, Grier and Grierson!

Trotter rails against the gentility & folk getting above themselves!  ;D
