age at burial please
« on: Sunday 02 May 21 10:07 BST (UK) »
Can anybody read this age at burial? Ancestry have it transcribed as 35 years, which I don't think is right. Ancestry family trees say that she was born 6th May 1815 which would make this burial age about 3 years old not 35. Unfortunately the family trees give no source for the birth. Its the very top baptism on the right hand page. Sophia Elizabeth Cruse, daughter of Harry. I can't make out exactly what it says. All help much appreciated.

Possibly 3 & 1/4 or 3 & 1/2 years
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

So you think what looks like a "5" is actually "&"
That would fit I think.
Thanks for that!

Yes   Look at the entry on the left-hand page for the twin sons - John & James.
