In 1851 census, the details for two of William and Sarah's children

Colin   Montgomery   Lodger   Unmarried   Male   18   1833   Weaver Linen   Ireland
Sarah   Montgomery   Lodger   Unmarried   Female   16   1835   Spinner Linen   Dundee

would suggest the family moved to Dundee between approx 1833 and 1835, so William and Sarah were likely married in Ireland.
