Decoursey surname in ireland
« on: Sunday 02 May 21 15:59 BST (UK) »
Hi I'm trying to find a possible link in regards to a Margaret regan born 1858 Galway ireland Who married a Patrick coyne 1878.
And the Decoursey name. It is believed Margarets mother was a Decoursey and she married Micheal Regan born 1835..
I would love if anyone could find any records to prove this. From what I can gather the Decoursey surname orginates from France.

There is a birth here for Ellen Regan 1864 but her parents are Thomas Regan and Bridget Coursey.

You could look through the records https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/

Sometimes you would have siblings marrying.

There are several trees which have Margaret Regan Coyne and family. There are siblings attached which seem to have no connection and then the information is just copied from tree to tree. It makes it very difficult to find any relevant correct information.

Is this your family in 1901 and 1911?

Unfortunately there are gaps in baptism and marriage records so it is difficult to find your family.
You can look at the parishes here for dates

As I said earlier, you could look through records on Irish genealogy. Births begin in 1864 though.
