1850 United States Federal Census lookup
« on: Monday 03 May 21 13:07 BST (UK) »
I wonder if someone would be kind enough to look up the household of Adam Temple b1791 in the UK but living in Niagara, New York, USA in 1850.  I'm particularly interested in James Temple aged 90.  As James was his father but my info was that he died in 1842 so wondering if I've got that wrong.

Many thanks

I believe that US census results are available via Family Search - for free.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

There is a James Temple age 20 listed in the household. Perhaps there was a transcription error from your source?

In looking at the original census the "2" in "20" does look a lot like a "9", but if you go farther down the census page you will see other ages listed with a "2" and they too look kinda like a "9" because of the loop that is formed at the top of the 2" when it was written.

Thank you everyone.
It’s good to know I can find the records on family search  :)
It was ancestry where James age was  transcribed as 90 but I can’t amend it as don’t have worldwide membership.
