The people to account for at Census 1851 should be parents John PASMAORE, wife Elizabeth, daughter Mary b. 1835, daughter Elizabeth Johanna b. 1837?

Yes, absolutely. I know why I can't find them in the 1841 census, as the White Cross Street pages are lost, but not being able to find them in the 1851 census is frustrating!

It is especially interesting to me having visited Elizabeth Johanna's grave in Melbourne in 2010, so this newspaper connection to the funeral is amazing to have. Thanks!

Her widower husband Robert Robey returned to England after her death and I often wonder how he afforded the passage back from Australia.

His two sons were in Australia, while his three daughters were in England. I guess after his wife's death he decided he wanted to come home and be near his daughters. But I'll likely never know the events that led to his return.

With her husband Richard Benjamin Tayler (c1832/6–1918), Mary had the following children:

1. William Marson|Marsden Tayler (1854–1915)

2. Amelia Tayler|Hines (1856–aft 1901)

3. Richard Benjamin Tayler (1859–aft 1891)

4. Alice Mary Tayler|Smith (1861–aft 1911)

5. Diana Taylor|Tayler (1864–1867)

6. Charles Frederick Tayler (1869–1873)

7. Mary Elizabeth Tayler (1873–1873)

Mary appears to have separated from her husband and in the 1901 census is on her own at Grafton Street, Mile End Old Town.

I do not know when Mary died, although have found her husband's death in 1918.
