Ceylon births & death abt 1872

Hi i am trying to find Peter Muir who was an engineer for Ceylon Govt Railway who died 21/9/1872 at Colombo - Isle of Ceylon. He was driving a train & had an accident ( newspaper article) Peter's probate was in England 30/4/1880.

Also Peter had a son b abt 1872 Ceylon - 1881 Suffolk census shows George living with his mother Charlotte Muir.

I am trying to find any birth records for George or death record for Peter.

There are 3 mentions of him in Ferguson's Directory 1871-2. Not much information though, apart from his salary: https://www.historyofceylontea.com/ceylon-publications/fergusons-directory/1871-72-ceylon-directory-calendar/pdf/viewer.php
