Saving a divorce record from Ancestry - COMPLETED hopefully!
« on: Tuesday 04 May 21 14:39 BST (UK) »
Help

I've found a divorce record for a distant relative on Ancestry. I can save it to my tree and to my shoebox but can't seem to download to my computer.

Can anyone tell me how to do this or to download from my shoebox (which I don't tend to use normally).

Thanks

Why don't you do a screenshot?  I do that quite a bit.

Ancestry has been particularly 'buggy' of late, so it might be that if you refresh the page or log back in later, that the ability to download the record will suddenly reappear.

What browser are you using at the moment? Are you able to take a screen shot of what it looks like so we can see what the options are?
;D Doing my best, but frequently wrong ;D
:-* My thanks to everyone who helps me, you are all marvellous :-*

For me, using Safari as a browser, I go in to the image for the record.

On the right hand side of the image are some buttons, one of which is a little spanner and hammer.

When I click on that, it brings up some options, one of which is 'download', second one down under print.

However that's just a record I pulled up at random. Not sure it will work on what you are looking at.

Thanks Stanwix, but it doesn't have the usual save options - no download option, just save to tree or to shoebox.

I've downloaded millions of records since I joined Ancestry in May 2003 but never had this problem before!

Oh my, 36 pages, that is a lot  ::)  Not surprised you don't want to screenshot that many pages.

Rosie -It's the first divorce that I've come across. A half brother of my grandfather. That family appears to have lots of interesting liaisons that I'm still discovering!

It makes for very interesting reading. It took from 1915-1920 to sort out. She's supposed to have been adulterous and he's accused of beating her up.

This batch of divorce records has only been released this year.
