Welsh newspapers - the "Gwyliedydd Newydd, 20 Dec 1910" carries a report of the death of the wife of the owner of "Shop, Graigfechan".
Finding him on the 1911 Census, the properties are listed "Rhos Cottage (Private House), Ty Newydd, (Farm), Brynhyfryd, (Private House),  Shop (Shop), The Row (Private House)".

Thanks for the update. Checking old maps and "walking" various Censuses had drawn a blank.
Out of interest, is it any where near The Three Pigeons?
