Service number - John Patrick craughwell
« on: Wednesday 05 May 21 14:44 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone,

I am trying to help an ex military (veteran) to find his fathers Regimental/service number.

I have tried various online sights to no avail.

His father: John Patrick Craughwell, DOB: 17 Jan 1919, St Helens Lancs.

He served in The Royal Artillery during WW2

He was a corporal.. if anyone could provide his service number it would be great.

Thanks
Keith

If you are applying for his service records then you don't need a service number.  ;D
A date of birth OR a service number is asked for.

Service records for personnel serving after 1920 are still with the MOD.

If He was a Member of His Local British Legion, They may hold some information of His WWII Service.
