Henry Edward Youngman death c1905-10
« on: Wednesday 05 May 21 15:18 BST (UK) »
Henry Edward Youngman b 9 Mar 1874  Blundall, Norfolk, . He  married Eliza Ann Howlett in 1892 in Great Yarmouth and and was listed on the 1905 Register of Electors in that town at North Denes Rd.
He is listed in 1901 census living at 41 Beaconsfield Rd, Gt Yarmouth and employed as a Dairyman manager & Friendly Society Secretary.
However, in 1910, his widowed wife , now known as 'Annie Youngman' emigrated to Canada with their 7 children. I cannot find the death of Henry Youngman anywhere between 1905-10.

Any help regarding his death would be gratefully received as he seems to have disappeared into thin air!

There's a tree on Ancestry that has him dying in France in 1906.

Not sure how true that is though.

Thank you for you reply, yes, I did come across that entry in Ancestry, but I believe that is incorrect as I can see no reason why he would travel to France in 1906. Also they haven't left a reference for for the death.

There are political newspaper articles which mention him in March 1905 - the newspapers are dated April 1906.  He was secretary of the Conservative Association.  It was to do with a Bribery court case.
There is no indication of his whereabouts

That looks good GG, it would tie in with the court cases in the paper.

I had wondered if he had done a runner and was in Canada  ???

Yes, I absolutely agree with you. She is 'wife' on 1910 shipping list but not travelling with her husband. As you say, on the Canada 1911 census, she is recorded as a 'widow'. The 1916 census lists Annie now married to Arthur Chick.
