Frederick Warren
« on: Wednesday 05 May 21 20:43 BST (UK) »
I have a marriage record of Frederick, a farmer, widower of Gwehelog, Mon and Ann King, widow.
Married by licence 28th Aug 1827.
Is there any chance of finding the deceased spouses of the couple?
Thanks for any help.

Not that this helps with first marriages - no children with them on 1841 census

Burials Gwernesney, Monmouthshire, Wales

Frederick Warren age 64 Burial 27 Aug 1842

Anne Warren age 80 Burial 2 Aug 1852

Have you looked for any possible children born to a Frederick Warren in Monmouthshire?

Edit to add found Ann on 1851 census, 6 general servants

Ann Warren Age:   77 Wid farmer of 160 acres
Where born:   Crowell, Glamorgan, Wales  - looking at original think it reads Cromell? Gloucester
Civil Parish or Township:   Gwernesny
Piece:   2450 Folio:   250 Page Number:   13

FreeREG has an 1802 marriage Frederick Warren to Elizabeth Knights at St Marylebone

https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_records/58181917e93790eb7f2f8dc0/elizabeth-knights-frederick-warren-marriage-middlesex-st-marylebone-1802-05-30?locale=en

Marriage detail can be found on Anc*y London, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1936

He signed both - check to see if you think his signature looks similar

Edit to add - possible death for the above Elizabeth Warren so probably not your Frederick’s first wife

Elizabeth Warren Age: 68 Burial 8 May 1849 Saint Marylebone, Westminster

Is this her on 1841 census?

1841 Piece:   675 Folio:   9 Page Number:   9
St Marylebone
Elizabeth Warren   52

The best I can find is a marriage of Harriett Warren residence Gwehellog,  9 Dec 1832 to George powell.

Surely a relative of some sort.

On familysearch

The marriage bond on NLW suggests Frederick was a batchelor.
You have to buy the details but may not contain much more

Thanks all,
There is a Cromhall in South Glos, not very far from Gwernesny.

I have possible children of Frederick as Henry 1812 - 1878,
and Harriet 1813 - 1877.
No mention of Henry in Fred's will. Only Harriet, George Powell and Ann (widow).

When you say;

I have possible children of Frederick as Henry 1812 - 1878,
and Harriet 1813 - 1877.

Do you mean you have Bapts for them?

There is a HARRIET King* bapt 30 Apr 1815 St Andrew, Cromhall, Glous, Mother ANNE King

Fredk and Anns Marriage is on FreeREG 26 Aug 1827, Widower/Widow

Also a ELIZA Waren bapt 14 Aug 1836 Usk to HENRY/KIMBRAH(Father a Farmer, abode Gwehelog*)
+ ANN Warren 30 Apr 1838 Raglan

Kimbrahs mn was Powell as you probably know.
