John Gregory's Parents
« on: Thursday 06 May 21 21:39 BST (UK) »
John Gregory was born in 1804 in Crowmarsh. In 1826 he married Elenor Collins, b Blewsbury, Berks, 1808. He traded as a corn dealer.

Please can anyone identify his parents?

Hi Carole,

Yes, I did but I failed to find it. I'll look again.

Thanks for your input.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I can see him on various census returns, I can also see the christening dates of his children but I'm getting no information about his parents from FS. Please put me out of my suspense.

Thank you all.

I had initially discounted the 1803 christening simply because every FS entry seemed to indicate a birth in 1804 but of course things are never that simple, as I would have realised had I been thinking properly. As it is, thanks to your help I have been able to uncover not on;y John's parents but also his siblings. Once again, my grateful thanks.
