« on: Friday 07 May 21 09:12 BST (UK) »
need help with a place name on baptism certificate, it's in Killean Argyll.
have found so far, Bellochintuigh, Belochgoichan, Ballochagaochan, Ballochayarran, Ballochnliugh, Ballochayavran, in various google searches,
the previous baptism was at Arnicle Killean, and the one after this was at Gobagrennan Killean.
any help welcome
Cheers

Could it be Ballochandrain? Its in Argyll.

https://canmore.org.uk/site/39957/bealachandrain

or, possibly more likely
Bellochantuy/ Ballochantuy Bellochantay

There is an historic map in the series of maps here and it is interesting I looked up Arnicle Killean.

If I were you, I would look for more children baptised to the same couple in case they are still living there. It might clarify.  :)
