Gloucestershire records
« on: Friday 07 May 21 16:29 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone,
I have John Baglin c1704 marring Mary Pegler on 28 Aug 1723 • Newington Bagpath, Gloucestershire.
I am trying to find a birth for Mary ,everything (Ancestry,web sites) I see tries to point me to a birth in North Nibley c1705 but I have found another in Newington Bagpath c1700.
Any suggestions please.

Welcome to Rootschat fay.

If this was me - I would check the names of the children born to John and Mary.

Quite often (but not always -- that would be too easy!!) - the eldest daughter would be named after the mother's mother.

 Hence if there is no mother shown on those baptisms - seek the marriage of the father to find the bride's name.

Just a suggestion!

Also - if you can find a death for Mary -- see if an age at death is given, which may help with the birth year (providing age at death is correct of course.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Thank you for your reply and welcome.

Yes there first daughter was called Hannah and in the North Nibley baptism Mary's mother is called Hannah Hicks,
 in the Newington-Bagpath  baptism Mary's mother is called Mary.
 I have checked the death record but no age is given.
Unfortunately there are no clues in the Newington-Bagpath marriage records
