Yes - my interest was purely because my daughter used to live in Leverstock Green, AND I'm nosy!   :-X
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Now I am looking for Elizabeth Cook aged 30 and her infant son Joseph. They were alive on 8th February 1860 but dead before 31st March.

Thank you all so much for all the information regarding Belcony. I now assume that I have located it on the old map between the main village and Cox Pond Farm. That is excellent. I had realised that it was near the once named Masons Arms by trawling through information found on The Leverstock Green Chronicle. I am still short of two burials but the rest is sorted.

Apologies for a delay in replying but I have just spent about three hours in A&E. Don't worry - all will be well if I rest up !

Once again, thank you, everyone who contributed. You have made an 'old gal' very happy.

FindMyPast has images of baptisms, marriages and burials from many Hertfordshire parishes. Unfortunately for Leverstock Green they only seem to have images of baptisms and marriages. The burials for LG are only transcriptions from the series "England Deaths & Burials 1538-1991" and there appears to be a gap between 1859 and 1862.

Thanks. Burials in Leverstock Green appear to be poorly represented. It is rather frustrating! Also, on FindMyPast Leverstock Green is not an option in place names.

I guess eventually a visit to the relevant records office is my next option when I can get there.

It might be worth checking with HALS if they actually have the records for those missing years. It is strange that there is a small gap in what is on line. It could be that the records have been lost or badly damaged.

HALS have a look up service,so if you can't gete there they will do the work for you.

Seems to be £18 for 30 mins of their time.

They say they have LG burials from Feb 1850- Feb 1972.

Thank you. That is excellent news. It is certainly a lot less expensive than a hotel room and all the travelling!

A big thank  you to everyone who has helped me.
